I
know some of you are thinking it’s about time I updated Justin’s web site!
I had to move the site because it was on the same system as Tom’s and his is getting too big to keep them both
together. So because it’s a big project to move it I kept putting it off.
But here we are now. Justin is doing good. Some of you already know some of this already but…Justin has had a long standing problem with his
sinuses. We took him in for allergy tests and they came out negative except for
a slight allergy to grass and hay. He had to undergo 2 CT scans and he conquered
that like a champion! No fussing, no crying – nothing to it. The CT scans showed that all 5 of his sinus cavities were over 95% filled so he was put on 2 weeks of antibiotics
and that cleared it up. Unfortunately he is now all stuffed up again and right
back where we started. He has been referred to an ENT and they have found that
his adenoids are twice the size they are supposed to be (no wonder he can’t breathe!).
He will have surgery on May 10th and have them removed. (YEIKS!)
Since he seems to be getting sick
again Tom took him back to the regular doctor yesterday (4/22) and they feel certain he does have allergies despite the results
of the allergy tests. They say it is very common for children under 7 to show
a false positive on allergy tests which is why they don’t recommend they get them until 7 years of age. So he’s now back on all of his previous allergy medication.
This poor kid has been through a lot with that nose of his. We need to
buy stock in Kimberly-Clarke because we buy a lot of tissue!
